Our co-director mary v. bordeaux and our partner and our partner and collaborator Clementine Bordeaux recently wrote an essay for the Forge Project titled "Gluhá máni: Collecting to hold, not to keep." Written about a recent family buffalo harvest, the essay critically addresses differences between the colonial legacies of collecting museums and Lakota "intergenerational learning practices centered on community collaboration that keep us alive." https://forgeproject.com/forging/gluha-mani-collecting-to-hold-not-to-keep
